You already know this, but apparently it needs to be in writing too: all content on this site is copyrighted artwork* and may not be reproduced, shared or "borrowed" without permission.
Under Canadian law, artists retain the rights to their work unless specifically releasing their rights in writing. Hiring us as your photographer does not give you rights to use your photos as you wish, but you will receive permission to make your own prints and copies when you purchase downloads from our site.
Sitting fees collected on photo day do not include such rights or permissions. Those fees cover the costs of taking your photos (setup & travel, supplies used, fresh roses, etc.) and the services provided to your class (such as yearbook photos, composites, etc.).
Bored yet? Almost done... Copyright is generally held under our corporation name New Light Photography Inc., but may also be marked as SUB Photo or gradphotos.ca. gradphotos.ca is fully owned subsidiary of New Light Photography inc, based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

* Well, everything is copyright except maybe the meme above. I mean, technically that image started as 'public domain' and then we modified it and made the caption, so it's "ours" in a sense, but we won't be making any claims of ownership. OK fine, go ahead and steal the copyright meme if you want to.
